Tune-in to The “State of Black Business” Town Hall, Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 12 pm (EST)
Jun 27, 2020 12:00 PM in Eastern Time (US and Canada)
The Black Business Empowerment Commission (BBEC) will feature The “State of Black Business” Town Hall on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 12 pm (EST). The purpose is to hear different perspectives from business leaders and experts around the country. As COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on America, it has been particularly devastating on Black-owned business. Sure, the US government provided the Paycheck Protection Program that did help some Black businesses through this storm. However, many Black-owned businesses – for a litany of reasons – did not benefit at all. This caused many concerns across the Black business world.
On Saturday, the BBEC‘s Doni Glover will host a town hall to discuss these and other issues as it relates to the future of Black businesses in America.
Panelists include Attorney Karen Hines, Esq. (ATL), Metro Texas News Publisher Cheryl Smith, Regina Boone (Richmond Free Press), Prince George’s MD County Councilman Calvin Hawkins, Black Wall Street USA Founder Dr. Michael Carter (Oakland), Economic Empowerment Manager Alfred Isaacs, and Maryland-Washington Minority Companies Association CEO Wayne Frazier.
As they say, when America catches a cold, Black America catches the flu.
