(HARLEM – June 20, 2020) – Since 1945, EBONY Magazine has shined a spotlight on Black people in America worldwide. Ebony’s commitment to showcasing the best and brightest as well as highlighting disparities in black life has been, and will always be the cornerstone to EBONY. This year, EBONY will celebrate 75 years of serving the Black Community with a year-long series of celebrations highlighting the rich history of the EBONY brand. EBONY 75 will be all about honoring the brand-past, present, and future- and we look forward to you joining the celebration.
Saturday 20th, EBONY Juneteenth Weekend Opportunity Cannabis Summit aims to bring together a community of experts, scientists, activists, entrepreneurs, and therapeutic supporters together for a day of advocacy, education, and empowerment. Taking place on June 20th, Cannabis Day will encompass topics ranging from medicine, economics, queer culture, veteran issues, culture, activism, lifestyle, innovation, cannabis industry updates, and so much more.
June 20th’s Cannabis Day will feature guest speakers including industry pioneer and Dr. Dre’s former ‘weed man,’ California Cannabis‘s own Virgil Grant; The Original ‘Canna-Mom,’ International Healthcare and Autism Advocate, CannaSafe Labs Healthcare Liaison, Mieko Hester-Perez; the youngest black multi-state operator with dispensaries in Oregon, Massachusetts (and soon Chicago), CEO of Elev8 Cannabis, Seun Adedeji; AND SO MANY MORE…
